I recently ran my 2008 Polaris Ranger 500 without oil for about 10 minutes; I was unaware of the problem until the engine noise became very loud and it died. It's fuel injected and you can jump across the solenoid and it will turn over that way but it's not firing and I'm getting power to the solenoid when you turn the key but it won't turn over and I replaced the solenoid along with a programmable ecm that's a plug in play ecm. From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. If turned off and back on soon after the pump will not run if the pressure is still there.

Take a pair of bare metal handled pliers and jump across the solenoid that is just to the rear and below the drivers seat. Be careful, as it will start in any gear without pressing the brake pedal. I had the family with me riding one day no issues and the next day went to move and it just spins over but no fire. It has great fuel pressure, strong battery the stator checks out when testing and I’ve since replaced coil plugs and wires. I’m stumped.

I went over the connections and saw the starter wire hanging by a thread and it was shooting sparks when i would turn the key. So I held the starter wire to the starter and it fired right up.
